Job Overview

logoWe are seeking an experienced Automotive Application Engineer to join our team, responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from our test vehicles equipped with advanced sensors, including radar, cameras, and lidar scanners. The successful candidate will be proficient in programming languages such as Python and C++, with experience in data analysis, visualization, and statistical modeling. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, sensors, and data analytics, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Your role:

Design, plan, and execute data collection experiments using our test vehicles equipped with radar sensors, cameras, and lidar scannersRecord and upload data to a database, ensuring data quality and integrityDevelop and maintain Python scripts to parse, analyze, and process large datasetsGenerate and visualize statistics, trends, and insights from the collected data using data visualization toolsVisualize perception results online in the test vehicle using the existing runtime environmentCompute key performance indicators for different vision perception featuresDrive the integration of sensors, loggers, gateways etc. into test vehiclesDevelop and maintain C++ programs to interface with sensor hardware, process data, and integrate with other systemsTroubleshoot and debug issues with data collection, processing, and analysisStay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automotive sensor data analysis and visualizationWork in an agile and international SW development team

Your background:

Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related fieldUnderstanding of automotive systems, sensors, and data analyticsStrong software development skills in PythonExperience with the C++ programming languagePassion for clean, high-quality, well-tested, and documented codeExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independentlyStrong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholdersPractical experience with Linux, version control systems (e.g. Git), build systems (e.g. Bazel, CMake) and code review toolsKnowledge of the Rust programming languageExperience with machine learning, deep learning, or Computer VisionExperience with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelinesKnowledge of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, SAE J1939)Fluent in English
