Software Development

Deliver software based on clear requirements and organisational standardsWrite logical, maintainable code that meets design specsAccurately report progress throughout the development lifecycleConduct unit testing with adequate coverage and escalate issues as needed

Report impediments to supervisors for timely resolutionMaintain detailed documentation for tracking and knowledge sharing

What You Need

A proven interest in a career in Software Development, this could be from formal education such as A Level Computer Science, BTEC’s or self directed learning that you’ve undertaken in your own time on platforms such as Codecademy, w3schools etcUnrestricted right to work in the UKBe a current resident in the UK and have lived in the UK for 3 yearsAble to commute to central London Not hold a higher qualification in the same or similar subject3 or more A-Levels or equivalent (A-C)GCSE in Maths and English – grade 4 (C) or equivalentIT skills, including a basic understanding of programming and exposure to at least one programming language

Training to be provided

As part of the Level 4 Software Developer apprenticeship standard, you’ll be registered as a member with the British Computer Society and be on a fast track to an industry recognised qualification and your dedicated industry coach will support you through a blended approach that will include remote, in person, 1-2-1 and group learning.

Location – we are located in the Scalpel Building (EC3M 7AF). We do offer flexible / hybrid work and the successful candidate will need to show how they will be able to commute for at least 3 days per week to our offices.
