Assistant Project Manager Job Description:The Assistant Project Manager will provide support to the project team in the overall administrative, financial, and technical direction of a project. This position will work directly with the Project Manager to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with contract, design, budget, and schedule requirements.
Select Responsibilities:Develop and maintain material tracking logsResearch, develop and write detailed RFI’sPerform detailed review and processing of project submittalsCoordinate with Design team for efficient responses to submittals and RFI’sPresent in weekly project status meetingsAssist with project forecasting and month end financial reportingManage changes and ensure proper distribution of construction documents and/or project scope to ensure that the most current documents are being usedCoordinate with project team to ensure materials are available when needed on siteReview and verify constructability of plans and specificationsContribute to the buy-out process by requesting and reviewing bids and aligning budgets as necessary to create subcontracts
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management (or related) preferredStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codesSuperior communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent problem-solving abilitiesProficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and/or Microsoft Project
