ABOUT US:

Founded in 1993, Bayview Asset Management is an investment management firm focused on investments in mortgage and consumer credit, including whole loans, asset-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights, and other credit-related assets.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Bayview is looking for a UI/UX front-end web developer with strong knowledge of HTML 5, CSS 3 and Javascript. This role will be working closely with the Team lead and other developers in achieving optimum productivity. You will interact and communicate with other IT business units (Release Management, Business Analysts, Project Managers, etc.). You will be responsible for translating requirements into desktop, mobile, and responsive web solutions. This role will bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Document system design solutions and source code using standard requirement templates provided by the business analysts/release managersFollow outlined software architecture and designs providedDevelop system solutions that meet both the quality standards and timelines as determined by the businessTest software using proven testing frameworks, tools and techniquesWork closely with quality assurance to remedy issues uncoveredFollow specified change management process and documentationParticipate in team meetings, provide input and suggestionsAdapt and overcome problemsMultitask and prioritize tasks independently; take on new tasks and adjust to an energetic, continually evolving environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

AS/BS degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of experienceHigh level of interpersonal and communication skillsComfortably following organization rules, adhering to the employee handbook, company tenets, and the SDLC to understand those rules

SKILLS:

Required:

4+ years UI/UX Front-End and web development experience4+ years of WordPress or similar web content management solution2-4 years of ReactJS experienceStrong command of essential front-end web technologies including HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, GitAbility to translate requirements into HTML5/CSS3 cross-browserStrong understanding of document type representation in XML, JSONSolid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions, as well accessibility and SEO considerationsUnderstands and implements responsive layout development

Preferred:

Knowledge of client-side web development techniques and web services (AJAX, JSON, XML, Google Maps API, Third Party APIs)Knowledge of event driven Javascript async libraries (ie. Node.js, etc)

LOCATION:

This role will be based in either (Bayview’s Coral Gables or Ft. Lauderdale, FL office) This role will be Hybrid (3 days in the office and 2 days remote)
