Charterhouse is currently working with a fast-growing IT Consultancy, developing AI-powered platforms that provide cutting edge solutions for their clients. The work spans across data intelligence, automation, and advanced analytics. Our client is looking for a Backend Engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment and is excited to build scalable systems that power intelligent solutions.
The Backend Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services using Go or Python. This role will work closely with AI/ML engineers to integrate intelligent features into the company’s products and optimize APIs and data pipelines for performance and scalability. The Backend Engineer will also contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the technical direction of the platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and working in a collaborative, agile team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of Backend Development experience and strong proficiency in either Go or Python. The candidate should also have experience working with AI/ML systems or integrating AI APIs, and a solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP. Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases and message queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ is important. A strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for clean, maintainable code are essential.
Previous experience with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes, exposure to MLOps or data engineering workflows, and contributions to open-source projects or AI communities are all valuable additions.
Excellent communication skills in English is essential.
