JOB SUMMARY
The Business Intelligence Analyst III position involves designing and implementing semantic models in Power BI to support business reporting needs. This role will also contribute to the development of new reporting solutions, foster teamwork in an office environment, and support day-to-day operations and client advocacy.
JOB DUTIES
Conduct in-depth analysis or large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insightsInterpret and communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersCollaborate with business users to understand their reporting requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needsPropose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of BI solutionsDevelop, test, implement, and maintain financial and operational reportsAssist in developing and maintaining scalable and efficient processes to support financial modeling, forecasting and statistical tracking, and related business processesProvide ongoing support for current applications; determine problem resolution steps and processes, work with users to resolve issues and identify root causePlan and analyze new/modified solutions/processes; work with users to determine optimal solutions, provide analytical supportAssist in maintenance and utilize a cloud-based ERP toolUnderstand and effectively leverage established and new business metrics and KPIs to support decision makingManage report development and design requests, effectively communicate, and speak with authority on financial and reporting informationCollaborate with stakeholders regarding delivery of services, as needed, based on program requirementsEffective written and verbal communicationComply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and proceduresConduct advanced reporting and oversight activitiesDemonstrate dependabilityDemonstrate effective problem solving and decision-making skillsLead and complete special projectsMaintain necessary skills and knowledge to coordinate work flowMonitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projectsParticipate in professional development and training activitiesPrioritize and multitask effectivelyProvide excellent customer service to internal and external clientsProvide peer mentoring, training, and oversight to coworkersProvide support for escalated issuesOther duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree preferred3-5 years previous office experience preferredCombination of education and experienceAdvanced skills in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, etc.) and SQLAdvanced skills with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and SSRS report developmentKnowledge of data modeling concepts and relational database designExperience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) and services like Azure SynapseLeadership experience preferredBe able to successfully pass a background screeningEmployees must provide their own reliable internet if working a remote/hybrid position
The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
