We are partnering with a reputable healthcare system to hire for The Developer & Employee Experience Team, enabling the client’s journey to the cloud. The DevOps Platform Engineer, Senior will report to the Manager of Software Configuration. In this role you will design, build, and maintain the Internal Developer Platform, enabling operational excellence for the client, their trading partners, and provider networks. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organization’s journey to the cloud.

Responsibilities

Collaborate to enable an enterprise GitOps framework by developing and automating self-service, scalable CI/CD pipelines for developer communitiesCode and maintain script solutions using Java, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, NOSQL, Shell Script, and PowerShell in the pipeline automation framework Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks Leverage your expertise of modern Web, SOA/Microservice, and Cloud Native architecture to solve enterprise problemsImplement engineering best practices and techniques (Trunk Based Development, Test Pyramid, Feature Toggles, Blue-Green Deployment)Maintain detailed documentation of CI/CD processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge-sharing and onboarding efficiencyImplement security best practices within the CI/CD pipelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational policiesDefine, track, and report key performance indicators, metrics, and trends related to automation development, usage, and contribution to software qualityCommunicate with stakeholders regarding planning, design, meeting automation requirements, and automation development activitiesTroubleshoot complex problems with automation tools and automation framework setup/configurationModel he company’s leadership values and behaviors, inclusive of being a continuous learner with an automation-first mindset

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Requires 5+ years of professional experience serving as a technical expert in enterprise CI/CD pipeline development and maintenanceRequires hands on experience building and managing CICD pipelines for cloud solutions in a heavily regulated, DevOps environment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practicesRequires hands on knowledge of virtualization tools like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShiftRequires in depth knowledge of Microsoft AzureRequires proficiency in the following programming languages: Java, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, NOSQL, Shell Script, PowerShell, or similarRequires current AZ-400 Certification or equivalent knowledgeRequires current RedHat DO-007 and/or DO-417 and/or DO-374 Certification or equivalent knowledgeAdditional Cloud Hosting Provider certifications strongly preferredExperience working in an agile development environment is strongly desiredExperience working remotely is strongly desired
