Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to validate the end-to-end functionality and ensure consistency between Lens Desktop versions across platforms. This role involves identifying functional gaps between LD1 and LD2, executing comprehensive test cases, and ensuring the quality of ported code from Windows to MacOS.Key Responsibilities:End-to-End Functionality Validation:Validate the complete functionality of the Lens Controller Service and UI on MacOS to ensure all features work as intended.Execute SQA test cases to verify feature parity between LD1 (Windows) and LD2 (MacOS) versions.Identify Functional Gaps:Analyze and identify any discrepancies or missing features between LD1 and LD2.Collaborate with development teams to document and address functional gaps.Test Case Design and Execution:Develop and maintain additional test cases specifically for MacOS code.Ensure all unit tests and integration tests pass for the Mac platform, focusing on platform-specific behaviors and requirements.Feature Understanding:Gain a deep understanding of LD2 feature requirements and how they differ from LD1 to ensure accurate validation.Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address issues related to feature gaps or inconsistencies.Assumptions:The Mac development team is porting Windows code to MacOS without adding new features; QA is responsible for validating that the ported features meet existing requirements.The QA engineer will be expected to understand the differences in features between LD1 and LD2 to ensure accurate testing.The team will ensure all unit and integration tests are completed for MacOS, with additional test cases developed specifically for Mac code where needed. Required Skills and Experience:Experience in Functional Testing: Proven track record in validating end-to-end functionality for cross-platform applications.Understanding of Feature Requirements: Ability to analyze and identify feature requirements and differences across multiple platforms (Windows vs. MacOS).Test Case Development: Experience in designing and executing both automated and manual test cases, with a focus on platform-specific scenarios.Collaboration with Development Teams: Strong communication skills for collaborating with developers and stakeholders to address identified gaps and discrepancies.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with SQA processes for validating ported code, especially when porting between Windows and MacOS.Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks that can be used for both unit and integration testing.Experience in validating user interfaces and ensuring consistency across platforms.
