Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, junior-level Data Analyst to support our clients by gathering, organizing, and analyzing data for project-based assignments. This role is ideal for an independent contractor with some experience in data analytics, especially within the oil and gas industry. You will work remotely, managing your own tasks with the flexibility to work autonomously while meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in collecting, cleansing, and organizing data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Help build and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Support the creation of basic reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present key insights to internal teams and external clients. Collaborate with the team on streamlining data processes and workflows. Perform data entry and validation to ensure data integrity for ongoing projects. Support project-based data tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assignments.

Qualifications

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL). Familiarity with data management practices and processes. Strong attention to detail and an ability to organize and interpret large datasets. Some experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting insights to non-technical audiences. Basic understanding of reporting and data visualization concepts. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at once. The volume of work requires about 40 hours per week, depending on client needs.
