Position Summary
The data collection analyst is responsible for the invoice level data Monster Energy collects from its distribution network. This role is responsible for the integrity, alignment, cleansing and validation of the data. This data is used for reporting, forecasting, production, accruals, and promotional rebates across the enterprise. This position works closely with cross functional teams throughout the organization to include Business Units, Channel Teams, Pricing and MEC distribution partners to ensure systems are aligned. The data collection analyst acts as a subject matter expert on various business initiatives by providing guidance as necessary for data collection, maintenance, and analysis. Data Collections Analyst ensures the data that comes over is aligned to the bottlers internal system and manages the alignment of call points (outlets to call points).
Essential Job Functions
Analyze and audit depletion data against the reporting distribution partners internal systems to ensure data accuracy and data quality meet the agreed upon standardsWork with the bottler and VIP to identify the root cause of discrepanciesAudit case for case on a quarterly basis; a process that can take up to 4 weeks to complete for all 68 bottlersPerform audits; daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly volume and call point audits ensuring alignment in both internal and external systemsManage the end-to-end process from creation to quarterly auditing of call points and their retail outlets ensuring alignment with outlet numbers, dba, address, class of trade, premise type, and reporting hierarchyResponsible for auditing every call point on a quarterly basis. This will ensure proper reporting and accrualsManage the matching process of reported outlets to the appropriate outlet master recordWork with leadership to write and maintain standard operating procedures for audits and assigned tasksProtect information provided in confidence from outside sources (bottlers and other business partners) and ensure this information is not disseminated to any unauthorized partiesProtect information and materials provided to third parties (e.g., consultants, vendors, suppliers, bottlers) by ensuring appropriate procedures are followed and parties are bound by company confidentiality agreements as necessary.Audit, Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve errors and assist other team members or business partners with related data collection issues raised dailyPerform volume audits once a quarter, call point audits on a rolling 90 days (700+ call points) and analyze possible reporting issues and data alignments dailyAnalyze, validate, prioritize, and execute requests for maintenance to ensure the appropriate standards and governance rules are maintained on a daily and quarterly basisPerform basic statistical and relational analysis of large data sets to identify and correct inconsistencies & anomalies along with mitigation plansApply business rules and best practices when reviewing requests to identify errors in data and reject, escalate, or remediates errorsMulti-task in a multi-functional environment while maintaining service level targetsPerform all other duties and tasks as assigned
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, business, data analytics or equivalent industry experience2+ years’ experience of in-depth analytical and use of reporting tools with large data sets.Highly effective analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Suite, including highly developed skills in ExcelAbility to use and learn a variety of query and reporting toolsAbility to respond to requests accurately and in a timely mannerAbility to identify issues within highly detailed dataAbility to develop a solution and/or business processEffective interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organizational and analytical skills; decision making and problem solvingHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work in group dynamics and stand out during individual projectsGood time management skillsStrong multi-tasking abilitiesProficiency in using spreadsheets to arrange, manipulate, format, and prepare large amounts of information.Highly effective analytical and problem-solving skills
Base Pay Range: 68,640K – 76,000K
