Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the software system design and implementation for satellite onboard networking and routing technology, including algorithms, interfaces, protocols, coding and testing techniquesSoftware
development for network simulation as well as network programming to support satellite and aeronautical communication networkingExecute tests and analysis using network simulation and emulationParticipate in software reviews
with colleaguesWork closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, project management, and external stakeholders, to ensure project alignment with client needs and company goalsManage and maintain project documentation
and system specificationsEnsure compliance with government standards and regulations in all project aspectsFacilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes, addressing technical challenges and providing viable solutionsParticipate
in regular team meetings, contributing to strategic planning and project reviews

Must-Have Qualifications:

ProficiencyC, C++, Python and systems programming principlesMinimum of five years of experience in computer software programming with some exposure to network protocols or network design/engineering (e.g. topics such as
IPv4, IPv6, IPsec, TCP/UDP sockets, tunneling, MPLS, etc.)Linux/Unix OS experience and shell scriptingGit version control proficiency (branching, merging, reviews)Agile development background (Scrum/Kanban)Bachelor’s or
higher degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent proficiencyThorough understanding of software engineering projects from conception to completion, including design, development, and implementationStrong
verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers and clientsProven decision-making and multitasking abilities, with a track record
of seeing projects through to completionAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesTesting expertise (unit testing frameworks, debugging tools)US Citizenship
is required due to the nature of the work
