Job Overview

Our client’s IT team is looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to support the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions. These solutions will consist of both tailor-made and off-the-shelf building blocks and will need to be operated in various execution environments.The Cloud DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with Cloud Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and IT Architects across multiple projects and products. The role will involve both supporting the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions and managing their operationalization and lifecycle in different execution environments, primarily on Microsoft Azure. A key aspect of the role will be to industrialize the on-demand commissioning and decommissioning of different versions of cloud-based solutions to enhance lifecycle efficiency, reduce costs, ensure business continuity, and comply with disaster recovery plans (DRP).The Cloud DevOps Engineer is expected to be a proactive and constructive collaborator, analyzing and finding solutions that comply with security and organizational standards. The role involves developing and automating deployments, as well as actively participating in the operationalization of cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities (non-exhaustive)Develop and maintain CI/CD processes for cloud-based solutions.Configure, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes.Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.Maintain existing tools for monitoring, notifications, trending, and analysis.Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.Handle code deployments across all environments.Provide technical guidance and educate team members and co-workers on development and operations.Document and design various processes, update existing processes, and innovate for better process improvements.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.Fluency in English and proficiency in one of the following languages: German, Dutch, or French.Proven experience in DevOps engineering and agile software development.Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, ArgoCD, and SonarQube.Familiarity with infrastructure technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures.Hands-on experience with platforms such as SQL Server, MongoDB, Kong, and Databricks.Knowledge of the Azure cloud provider and its services.Proficiency in coding and scripting in various languages (Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI, shell).Understanding of system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks.Knowledge of secure coding practices and experience with security testing tools.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
