In order to develop Mission Support Systems, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
DevOps Engineer (d/f/m)
In Platform Operational Support, we develop Mission Planning Systems, consisting of commercial IT-Infrastructure and custom software, for all flying platforms in our portfolio, including Eurofighter, A400M, Eurodrone, Tornado, and FCAS.
To strengthen our development teams, we seek a DevOps Engineer who will support us in advancing our software deployment and operational IT-infrastructure. Our Mission Planning Systems play a key role in the effective deployment of our flying platforms. With increasing complexity in mission planning due to growing numbers of participants and the need to plan ever faster, new challenges arise for Mission Planning Systems, resulting in shorter release cycles and the need for a reliable and efficient IT-infrastructure as an enabler. Your Tasks And Responsibilities
You are responsible for operating, maintaining, securing and evolving our software deployment and operational IT-infrastructure.You specify, configure, and roll out IT-infrastructure for the internal development system and end-user systems in the squadrons of our customers in central Europe.You support a strict configuration management process to define and identify baselines of our IT-systems.You assure compliance of our systems with IT-security guidelines like BSI IT-Grundschutz by applying according updates, patches and configuration.You continuously update our development systems along the evolution of our Mission Planning Systems.You define processes for reliable and reproducible roll out new baselines into operation.You are part of our highly engaged development team to evolve maintainability and operability of our IT-Systems and the tool-chain supporting this.
Desired Skills And Qualifications
You have a degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.You can demonstrate solid work experience (5 years) in securely and reliably operating IT systems.You have experience in collaborating with software development teams and integrating with their development and configuration processes based on tools like Jira, Git, Bitbucket or Nexus.You have several years of experience implementing Infrastructure as Code in a Windows environment (e.g., using PowerShell, Active Directory, VMware, Baramundi, Ansible).You speak English at a conversational level.
