logoOur Phoenix based client is hiring for a Director of Billing Operations to join their growing team. The Director of Billing Operations will be responsible for leading and managing the entire billing process within the organization, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient billing practices that support the company’s revenue goals. This role requires strategic oversight, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to improve billing processes as the company continues to grow and scale.

Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the end-to-end billing process ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.Develop, implement, and maintain billing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of managers and billing specialists, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and professional development.Drive the implementation of automation tools and billing system enhancements to improve accuracy, reduce manual efforts, and increase operational efficiency.Lead cross-functional initiatives to integrate billing systems with CRM, ERP, and other business management tools.Establish and manage KPI’s to measure billing accuracy, cycle time, collections, and other operational metrics.Work closely with the finance, sales, and customer service teams to resolve billing-related issues and ensure smooth operations across departments.Ensure billing compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and internal audit requirements.Stay current on changes in billing-related regulations, tax laws, and industry practices and adjust processes accordingly.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.Master’s degree or relevant certifications is a plus.7+ years of experience in billing, finance, or revenue operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.Extensive experience with billing systems and financial reporting tools.Proven track record in process optimization and operational improvements.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
