Entry Level Software Engineer – HYBRID

Job Overview

Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking multiple entry level Software Engineers to join a client’s growing Digital Banking team. He or she will be working on full-stack development but focused primarily on the front-end. You will be working on cutting edge Insurance software products the client offers to their customers. The Banking Platform you will support is built on top of a modern stack consisting of Kotlin/JVM for the back end interacting with other Java/JVM services internally, and a React based front end. It connects with many APIs internally and externally to aggregate and analyse customer information. As a developer, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of your software from inception to production, working on a mixture of green- and brown-field projects, as well as learning from, and contributing to your peer group. These positions offer a flexible, hybrid working model with the ability to work up to two days/week from home.
Must Haves: Experience programming in Java, JavaScript and React (ideally version 17 & 18) in school and/or professionallyExperience with Full-Stack development but passion for Front-End developmentBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, softwareengineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experienceUnderstanding of service-based architecturesUnderstanding of web applications and how to use APIs to power themCreativity & Problem-SolvingAdaptability & FlexibilityAptitude for technology; curiosity, passion and startup mindsetInnovative thinking Plusses: Experience or interest in programming in KotlinExperience with Cloud technologies, ideally AWS
