An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Strategy & Software Engineer to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly
expanding and exciting work environment.

About The Role

Optimise race strategies and performance by contributing to software development and data analysis within the Vehicle Performance group.

What You Will Do

Assist with the development of in-house software tools to optimise race strategy & energy management in real-time environments using timing feed information and car data.Contribute to the
continuous improvement of race modelling using state-of-the-art machine learning & statistical techniques.Ensure that software is robust for use in production environments with a very high attention to detail.Use source
control and collaboration tools to maintain code whilst exercising modern best practices.Produce pre and post-event strategy and competitor analysis reports.Strategy and software support during race weekends as required,
providing live advice based on simulation and analysis to the race engineers.Ensuring that the strategy software suite is well maintained and operational.

About You

Masters level degree in Maths, Computer Science, or relevant Engineering subject.Good understanding of a combination of high-level programming languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript, VBA and MATLAB.Proficiency
and interest in computational methods and numerical analysis.Experience developing full stack web applications using technologies such as React, Angular, Node.js or ASP.NET Core would be beneficial. Proficiency with data
analysis tools such as ATLAS / Pi ToolBox / Wintax or equivalent would be beneficial.Experience designing SQL and NoSQL databases would be beneficial.Understanding of dynamic simulation, control system theory, linear optimal
control, state estimation and advanced control techniques would be beneficial.Some exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP would be beneficial.
