Project Summary

The CAPSDAC project aims to develop a system for the California Department of Education (CDE) to effectively collect, manage, and analyze data from the California State Preschool Program (CSPP). This system will use unique identifiers for preschool children, teachers, families, classrooms, sites, and providers, enabling the integration of preschool data with the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS). By doing so, the CDE can meet the legislative requirements of AB 22, enhance program management, improve early education, and support the California Cradle-to-Career Data System.

Front End Web Developer/Engineer

Mandatory Qualifications

Minimum of four (4) years of experience in front end web development tools, techniques and methods for user-facing interfaces.Minimum of five (5) years working as a programmer/analyst in a .NET environment.Minimum of four (4) years’ experience with the following:Front end web development and frontend configuration capabilities for SaaS technologies using modern techniques and frameworks (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks like Bootstrap).Performing JavaScript development using modern standards, including strict mode compliance, modularization techniques and tools, and frameworks and libraries (e.g., jQuery);Developing and consuming web-based RESTful APIs;Using version control systems (e.g., Git);Creating web layouts from static images.Minimum of two (2) years’ experience developing web application UX/UI to meet compliance to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at a minimum.Possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Desirable Qualifications

A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as part of an Agile team
