logoPlant-for-the-Planet is a youth-led non-profit organization with a vision to plant a Trillion Trees. We are a collective of young climate justice ambassadors, environmental scientists, designers, and developers – spread across 5 continents – who work together to bring solutions to solve the climate crisis.

We are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer with strong experience in React, Node.js, and Next.js. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and the technical expertise to develop responsive web applications for both mobile and desktop platforms. Familiarity with Node.js and an understanding of full-stack development will be a significant advantage.

Location: Mumbai & Vicinity (India)

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy responsive + scalable web applications using React, Next.js, and Node.js.Collaborate with UX Designers, Architects, and Backend Developers to implement comprehensive web solutions.Ensure code quality and maintainability by following software development best practices.Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development process and product quality.Create solutions to unite Tree Planting Projects around the World

Required Skills And Experience

Good written and verbal communication in English, proactive in clarifying tasks and providing updates about progress/blockers2+ years of experience developing software applicationsStrong basics in the building blocks of web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript) with an ability to write clean readable code, and create responsive UIDemonstrated experience with ReactJSFamiliarity with RESTful APIsUnderstanding of document description languages such as JSONWorking knowledge of Git FlowStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Additional Relevant Skills And Experience

Experience with Node.js for building scalable web services – is a plus.Familiarity with GIS and map integrations is a plus.Experience with payment processors such as Stripe or PayPal.Experience with TypeScript, Storybook, and documenting code is highly desirable.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
