What does the job involve?Understand and interpret business, functional, and technical requirementsUnderstand AJ Bell products and processAt AJ Bell we pair, and you, in most cases will pair with other members of the teamHave
input into how solutions are developed and delivered using knowledge and expertise to help deliver the best possible outcome for the customerCarry out testing across a wide range of processes and systems – including UI,
API, back office (workflow) processes, 3rd party systems and integrations between all these systems including end to end testingExecute test scripts and record results using software testing toolsRaising bugs in a timely
manner with sufficient detail to be fixed/reproducedWorking alongside Technical Leads and Testers from Project inception to create and implement appropriate test automation approach to complement the manual testing and overall
project deliveries.Being involved in exciting new research projects and proof of conceptsSupporting User Acceptance Testing and release to ProductionKnowledge of Agile working practices and ability to apply its practiceEnsure
that all duties are carried out with the aim of protecting customers and improving customer experience.Supporting and enabling the business to achieve its regulatory requirements, including consumer duty.
Competence, knowledge and skillFull understanding of the testing lifecycle & methodologiesMaintain and enhance the existing automation frameworksCarry out exploratory testing within an Agile development environmentDevelop
test tools, and extend test frameworks and test environmentsExperience of testing Web APIs using integration toolsKnowledge of Playwright, JavaScript, and TypeScriptExperience/Familiarity Test Driven Development and is comfortable
with various test frameworks and concepts.Technical understanding of processes under test and relevant related processes and the ability to test componentsAn understanding of test automation concepts and their applicationExperience
