Position Summary

The Bypass & Safety team at PrePass is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer Intern to help build and enhance customer-facing features that drive safety and performance across our platform. This internship is a great opportunity for a junior or senior in college (or equivalent experience) who’s passionate about solving real-world problems using modern technologies.

As an intern on our team, you’ll collaborate with engineers and product teams to design and implement end-to-end software solutions. You’ll work across the stack—from building engaging UIs in React to developing robust APIs using object-oriented languages like C#, Java, or TypeScript.

This hybrid role is based in our downtown Phoenix office with flexibility for remote workdays.

What You’ll Do

Design, build, and maintain full-stack software features using React JS and object-oriented languages such as C#, Java, or TypeScriptCollaborate with engineers, designers, and product owners to bring new customer experiences to lifeDevelop RESTful APIs and integrate with backend servicesWrite clean, maintainable code with unit tests to ensure software reliabilityParticipate in Agile development ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectivesContribute to technical documentation and share knowledge with team members

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Experience with React JS for frontend developmentProficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., TypeScript, C#, Java, C++)Familiarity with REST API design and developmentStrong communication and collaboration skillsA willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience working with Azure cloud servicesFamiliarity with Docker for development or deploymentUnderstanding of unit testing frameworks and practicesExposure to Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban
