SAP S/4 Hana EngineerSalary: Circa £75,000 per annumLocation: Swindon or London
SAP Platform team acts as a central team servicing all CIOs within MTD (Member Tech Delivery) providing product
architecture roadmap, reliability, best practice adoption and resilience. As a SAP S/4 HANA Engineer, you will be at the heart of our strategic programmes and will be responsible for having control on the dates, technical
delivery, engineering best practices and alignment across all the projects that are delivered within the platform.
This role is within the MTD function, part of the wider COO organisation, which is responsible for delivering
IT solutions which have our customers and colleagues at heart. Reporting into our SAP BASIS & Security lead and will actively responsible for supporting the delivery of our strategic programmes, particularly in the SAP
technology set.

What you’ll be doing
Lead and manage the SAP Basis and HANA infrastructure, including system administration, performance tuning, and securityParticipate in strategic
planning and decision-making related to SAP systemsInstall, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including SAP HANA databasesMonitor system performance, identify and resolve issues proactivelyDiagnose and resolve complex
technical issues related to SAP systemsLead and manage projects related to SAP Basis and HANA, such as system upgrades, implementations, and migrationsImplement automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual
effortProvide guidance and direction to a team of engineers to create fit for purpose artefacts that meet requirements of the organisation and fit the technology strategyProvide technical expertise at parts and/or all stages
of the delivery lifecycle, including providing technical leadership and consultancy to stakeholdersTask / Line Management of circa 10 FTE to include capability development, coaching, nurturing, performance management and
pastoral support within P&C guidelines and recommendations.Organise the work of the team relying on technical knowledge to create efficiencies and give appropriate direction
About you
We need somebody with:
Proven experience with SAP Basis, SAP security concepts and SAP S/4 HANA AdministrationHands-on experience with SAP HANA, including installation, configuration, and administrationWorking
knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM configuration, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Integration SuiteExperience in managing SAP landscapes, including upgrades, migrations, and performance tuningHands on experience in
TDD (Technical Design Documentation), LLD (Low Level Design Documentation) Preparation.Proficiency in database management, operating systems (Linux, Unix), and network administrationExperience with Configuration Management
and automation tools like Ansible, Terraform and Python scripting to automate system deployments.Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of SAP Solution Manager, Change and Release Management (ChaRM) and other SAP toolsExperience
in SAP middleware integration area including SAP Integration Suite and SAP IAG integration with other SAP ToolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issuesStrong
communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsExperience of various delivery methodologies and ITIL frameworksSAP Certifications such as SAP Certified Technology specialist
or similar are desirableWorking knowledge with Cloud platforms such as SAP Cloud, Azure are desirableHave experience of working in a complex business environment, where there is a requirement to understand the impact of
own area on others and interdependencies both on people and technological perspective
