Your role:
We’re looking for a passionate Engineering Tech Lead to join a cross-functional team and take ownership of technical strategy and product innovation. You’ll lead a small engineering team, balancing
hands-on development with mentorship and leadership responsibilities. This is a unique opportunity to drive cutting-edge digital learning solutions and be part of a business that changes lives through distance learning!
What you’ll be doing:
Defining and communicating technical strategies that align with business goals.Designing and developing scalable, efficient systems for ecommerce and learning platforms.Leading, mentoring,
and inspiring a team of engineers to drive innovation.Implementing best practices, coding standards, and reviewing code to maintain high-quality software.Optimising system performance, security, and maintainability.Managing
and implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline development.Ensuring seamless integration between frontend and backend components.Working with MySQL, PlanetScale, and cloud-based platforms (AWS, Fly.io).Collaborating closely
with the Product Manager to define and prioritise the roadmap.Driving continuous improvement within the engineering team.
What we’re looking for:
Strong background in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.Proven experience leading teams and mentoring engineers.Solid understanding of REST & GraphQL.Experience with AWS, Fly.io,
Docker, and container technologies.Familiarity with Scrum, Notion, JIRA, and Trello.Experience working with Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager.Knowledge of performance optimisation, testing strategies, and DevOps
principles.Ability to translate technical challenges into business solutions.
