Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain Java services in a production environment- Work with fellow engineers on the team on solution design, troubleshooting, and testing- Create and utilize REST and/or GraphQL APIs for back-end services- Develop queries for SQL or NoSQL databases- Participate actively in an Agile Scrum team- Contribute to the development of Java and Node back-end microservices for high-volume production environments- Utilize Spring Boot and other Spring-based libraries effectively- Collaborate with partner teams, participate in discussions on solution design within and without your assigned team- Ensure code quality and maintainability by using Git-based source repositories and CI/CD pipelines- Design APIs with Swagger and OpenAPI, and use Apollo GraphQL server for optimal performance- Work with architects and fellow tech leads to design and build solutions for features as requested by stakeholders- Work with cohorts on other development teams to troubleshoot APIs your team is responsible for
Qualifications:- Proficiency in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript development- Experience with REST and/or GraphQL APIs- Familiarity with SQL database querying- Proficient in developing Java back-end microservices- Experience with Spring Boot and other Spring-based libraries- Understanding of standard design patterns- Experience with Git-based source repositories and CI/CD pipelines- Knowledge of test-first development and unit test mocking libraries (e.g., Mockito)- Experience with Apollo GraphQL server, designing APIs with Swagger and OpenAPI- Familiarity with Karate test automation platform- Experience working with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence or other ticketing and documentation tools- A commitment to test-first development and familiarity with unit test mocking libraries such as Mockito- Strong communication skills- Teamwork and collaboration- Continuous learning and adaptability- Problem-solving abilities- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid onshore/offshore team environment
Required Certifications/Education:- Formal 4-year college degree in Computer Science or a related field
