BigBear.ai is seeking a Java Full Stack Back End Developer with cloud experience to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career in Ashburn, VA.
What You Will Do
Working closely with the tech lead and senior developers, the Java Backend Developer will participate in the system architecture design, development, integration testing and validation, and all
aspects of the software life cycle (requirements to design to implementation to test) for a java back-end application involving extensive Messaging and Transaction processingMust be hands on and be able to design and develop
Java code as dictated by project requirements as neededThe candidate will be expected to learn and adhere to the continuous integration, automated unit testing and other AGILE practices established within the team using
the tools that are currently used by the teamThe candidate is expected to diagnose and fix issues in existing application components as part of maintenance
What You Need To Have
BS Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc)5+ years of strong Java J2EE/JEE design and software development experience including designing, programming, and
documenting large-scale software systemsDemonstrated expertise with Java, Java Frameworks (Spring), Object-Oriented Design and development principles; and Java Application Servers such as WebLogic or Apache Tomcat; and relational
databases such as Oracle or DB2Extensive skills in JPA\Hibernate and strong SQL skills is required for this positionKnowledge of design patternsDemonstrated expertise in software engineering practices (e.g., reading/generating
software specs, design patterns, continuous integration)Demonstrated ability to incorporate rigorous Unit testing as part of development activities is essentialSpring boot/AWS cloud experience with Docker and KubernetesGitlab/JIRA/Jenkins
