Job Purpose:We are seeking a highly proficient English-speaking Junior Software Developer to join our global team. The Developer will play a key role in automating and maintaining legal and financial document templates for Scissero’s clients using a document automation service. This role requires a high level of precision and understanding of coding, particularly in JavaScript/TypeScript, to ensure that all document outputs meet the strict accuracy requirements necessary for legal and financial contexts. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in both creating new automated templates and refining existing ones to enhance functionality and accuracy. This position is pivotal as the templates generated will serve high-stakes legal and financial purposes.
Key ResponsibilitiesCode Development and Maintenance: Develop new automated templates and update existing ones as per client requests. Maintain the highest accuracy in document creation logic to match client specifications.Quality Assurance: Ensure all templates and associated documents are error-free and meet the legal and financial standards required for client distribution.Stakeholder communication: Be comfortable with regular communication with clients through email or calls to understand their requirements and provide updates on project status. Be able to constantly communicate with internal stakeholders/team members for reporting purposes.Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues identified by clients or during internal reviews, applying logical debugging and diagnostics.
Candidate ProfileEducational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (written and verbal) with certification in EF/CEFR: C2, ESOL: CPE, IELTS: >7.0, or TOEFL iBT: >100.Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and Object-Oriented Programming. Experience in live or production environments is crucial.Professional Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Desirable Qualities: 1+ years of professional experience in a software development role, familiarity with the legal industry, and additional knowledge of TypeScript is advantageous.
General Terms Type of Employment: Full-time/Permanent Contractor.Working Hours: 9 am-6 pm EST, Monday to Friday. Availability during these hours is a must, despite any local time differences.Training: Six-week paid training period with comprehensive onboarding to learn the systems and services provided.Compensation: R$66,000.00 / Year. Annual discretionary bonus and 25 days of paid time off.
