The program operates a DevSecOps execution model that integrates services, hardware, software, and data support; incorporates new sources; maintains ingestion services as formats/schemas change; improves throughput and efficiency; develops and deploys self-service tools to exploit and use data more quickly, thoroughly, and robustly; and manages compliance requirements as may be necessary to satisfy service, application, tool, data, and other IT mission needs.As a Software Developer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) you will be responsible for:Providing expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems.Using expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software. Work in one or several areas, such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, statistical analysis and modeling.Working with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives.Providing analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases. Planning and scheduling new applications systems projects with user, systems software, and computer center operations personnel, including the identification of objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements.Performing tasks necessary to ensure the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques.Reviewing and evaluating systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.Confirming design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation.Potentially performing as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers / analyst working on a specific project. Experience and Qualifications:To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: Required Education and Years of Experience: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, or related technical fieldRequired Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance with PolygraphAt least two (2) years of experience developing software for analytic or data management systems.Desired Qualifications: Developed software under Agile management processesExperience developing or enhancing applications in both cloud-based and fixed hardware environmentsExperience with Java, C, C++ or other common software languagesExperience building modern user interfacesNoSQL/SQL (Mongo, PostgresSQL) familiarityExperience REST APIs, utilizing secure transport methodologyCI/CD tool experienceExperience utilizing Cloud Platform technologiesExperience with Big Data Tools (Elasticsearch, Splunk, NiFi, Kafka)Telework/Remote Availability: Not currently approvedWork Location: Washington Metro Area Summary Pay Range:Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only.
