About the projectThis role as a LabWare Engineer involves contributing to a product team by designing technical solutions, implementing them, and driving continuous improvements for GSCD&T systems. The role aligns with agile methodologies and DevOps practices and involves close collaboration with a Manager or Director of Engineering, as well as other key roles like Architects, Facilitators, and Product Owners or Directors.
The LabWare Engineer role requires a versatile skill set, demonstrating both in-depth expertise and broad knowledge across key engineering competencies such as software development, configuration, infrastructure, testing, DevOps, data science/analytics, and lifecycle management. Collaboration with specialists from other disciplines is also crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities:Continuously deliver technology solutions based on product roadmaps, following agile and DevOps principles.Ensure that all technical deliveries comply with security, quality, and regulatory standards, maintaining up-to-date technical documentation to support the lifecycle plan for audits and reviews.Utilize central services effectively, collaborating with service partners to identify and deliver service improvements.Support the Product Owner and product team to deliver ongoing value, maintaining strong relationships with customers and related solution groups (e.g., Established Products, Core Tech, Quality & Labs).Maintain business continuity by providing operational support, including incident, problem, and change management, as well as disaster recovery and vulnerability management for relevant applications.Drive continuous improvement and simplification of the product portfolio to enhance user productivity, increase system reliability, and reduce total cost of ownership.Contribute to release management by working closely with product team members, software vendors, and Business System Owners.Oversee quality and compliance, including interpreting regulatory requirements, providing consultation, and reviewing and approving documentation.Provide support during regulatory authority inspections.
Requirements:Strong communication and influencing skills.Knowledge of ITIL support processes.Experience working closely with business teams on IT-enabled transformations.Problem-solving abilities.Experience or training in handling auditor situations to ensure appropriate responses.Project management skills.Experience with LIMS platforms (LabWare, StarLIMS, or LabVantage).Proficiency in Power BI.Customer-focused mindset with knowledge of GxP.Experience in Pharma/Biopharma/Vaccine QC processes (e.g., chromatography, lab instrumentation) and working in a GMP-regulated environment, with an understanding of computer validation and change control processes, is highly desirable.
