Mid Software Development Engineer in Test – Hybrid – REMOTE

Job Overview

DIRECTLY REPORTS TO:

Head of Quality Assurance

MAIN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The primary responsibility of the Mid Software Development Engineer in Test is to deliver test automation solutions in accordance with enterprise standards and within development and operational guidelines. He / She will participate in the development and review of User Stories, and assist with the requirements gathering and provide Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) oversight.

He / She will also collaborate cross functionally with software engineers, business analysts, product managers, implementation specialists, and project managers to become the best performing team possible.

TASKS:

Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source toolsReview requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedbackCreate detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test casesEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activitiesExecute Test Cases and Test ScenariosImplement Test Plans and Test StrategyAnalyze Test Results and interact with development team to resolve issuesIdentify, record, document thoroughly and track bugsPerform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolvedProvide updates for Test Status and ResultsPerform other duties as assigned by the company

QUALIFICATIONS | COMPETENCIES:

Graduate of Engineering or IT Graduate or Computer Related DegreeHave a basic understanding of Java or Javascript or Python or any programming languageKnowledgeable in Automation Testing using Selenium WebDriverExperience in Performance and API Testing and GIT repositories would be nice to haveBasic knowledge of BDD Tool like Cucumber would be nice but not requiredExcellent communication skills, team playerFamiliar working in Agile/Scrum testing framework – desiredExperience with standard QA processes and procedures desiredUnderstanding of software development and sustainment methodologies and concepts
