logoTier 1 Investment Bank is looking to hire an enthusiastic and experienced UI Developer to work within the institutions Fixed Income (rates/FX) electronic trading space. This is a small and growing
team distributed between New York and London.
This team’s remit lies within the trading activities of the business, and the role would involve working closely with traders and back-end developers to modernize their
stack and work on a number of greenfield projects. This will involve everything from requirements gathering, design and implementation right through to optimization and monitoring performance.
What we’re looking for:A Bachelor or Masters degree Computer Science or similar disciplineExperience building enterprise scale desktop and/or web applicationsSolid experience in JavaScript, Angular and/or React web development
framework, HTML5 and CSSKnowledge and experience of software development and collaboration tooling including Git, BitBucket, Confluence, JIRA, and the like
Skills that will help you in the role:Understanding, implementing, and influencing complex problems and solutions with an analytical approachFamiliarity with Kafka and working knowledge of UNIX platformsFamiliarity with
utilising Agile Development methodologies, Test Driven Development and Continuous DeliveryExperience working in a front office trading/finance environmentThe ability to communicate ideas clearly both in writing and orally
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in New York. Compensation is competitive and contingent on experience.
