Our team of passionate, software developers and designers build and operate online services that Mississippi citizens use every day.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team as a .NET Developer. This position will oversee the management of new leading-edge Web/mobile/e-commerce applications and services as they move from client concept to launch. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of highly versatile and talented project managers, developers and designers and at various levels of state government.

Responsibilities

Plan, review and perform analysis, design, coding and implementation of simple to more complex internet and e-commerce applications using Microsoft development products (Asp.net, C#, Visual Studio, Windows Communication Foundation, MVC 4/5, web services, etc.) and open standards products (Javascript, AJAX, CSS, etc.) for both traditional browsers and mobile devicesSetup and maintain data structures and database environmentMaintain existing applications

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related disciplineMinimum of 2 – 4 years of professional experience in developing web applications with a strong knowledge of C# and ASP.NET, Application Security (OWASP best practices), and MVC frameworkSolid understanding of relational databases and SQL for implementing database driven, web-based applicationsGood understanding of SOAP and REST web servicesFollowing knowledge is encouraged: LINQ / Entity Framework, Active DirectoryGood communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for learning new technologiesSelf-motivated and creativeDesire to work in a fast-paced environmentExperience in Java development
