Optomi, in partnership with a global leader in software and services for enterprise solutions in industries such as retail, hospitality, financial services, and telecommunications,
is seeking an experienced Sr. Node Backend Developer for their Atlanta, GA location! This Sr. Node Backend Developer will be responsible for working with a highly motivated and skilled team of software engineers to develop
scalable backend services and solutions. In addition, this developer will be integral to the API management platform, working closely with both technical and non-technical teams to build and maintain core services for transaction
processing, messaging, and notification services. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Node.js, Nest.js, and cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and will enjoy working in an environment focused on high-volume transactions
with industry-leading technologies.
Experience the right candidate should bring:Strong experience in Node.js and Nest.js for backend development, using Typescript/JavaScript (100% backend).Expertise in building and managing
APIs (API-first approach), working with large-scale integrations.Solid experience with Cloud (GCP or AWS).Proficiency with PostgreSQL (no specific preference).Strong understanding of backend architecture and distributed
systems at scale.Experience with Apigee (API Gateway) – Familiarity with managing proxies and services in Apigee is a plus.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:Work closely with a team of 4-5 developers to build scalable and reliable backend services.Lead development on a new greenfield service as well as maintaining existing services.Take
ownership of key backend components like messaging services.Collaborate with the team on the design and architecture of new services to meet performance, scalability, and stability goals.Contribute to high-volume transaction
processing with a focus on maintaining uptime, reliability, and performance.Ensure code quality, documentation, and testing of new features and services.Act as a senior mentor to junior team members, helping balance workloads
and ensuring knowledge sharing.
