Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Developer to join our Renewable Energy team in Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end development of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and other emerging technologies. The role requires a deep understanding of the Spanish renewable energy market, regulatory frameworks, and a strong ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Identification & Feasibility:Identify and assess new project opportunities in the renewable energy sector.Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and preliminary designs.Analyze financial and technical feasibility, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.Permitting & Regulatory Compliance:Manage the permitting process with local, regional, and national authorities.Ensure all projects comply with Spanish and EU regulations and environmental standards.Liaise with legal teams to secure land rights, grid connections, and other necessary approvals.Stakeholder Management:Collaborate with landowners, local communities, and public authorities to secure project buy-in.Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal, etc.) to ensure project alignment.Manage relationships with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.Financial Planning & Analysis:Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and financial models.Collaborate with finance teams to secure funding and manage PPA negotiations.Monitor project costs and revenues to ensure profitability and return on investment.Project Execution & Management:Oversee the project development process from conception to financial close.Manage the preparation of technical documentation, including tender submissions.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Market Analysis & Reporting:Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments.Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on project progress and market conditions.Contribute to the strategic planning and expansion of the company’s renewable energy portfolio.

Qualifications:

Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project development within the renewable energy sector.Proven track record of successfully delivering renewable energy projects in Spain.
