The Role

We are looking for an Python Developer to join our growing development team, helping to design, develop and maintain high quality applications across our clients. You would also be required to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement effective solutions.

Required Skills

Our ideal candidate will have:

Strong proficiency in Python (3.x)Experience using data manipulation libraries. Experience implementing python unit testing frameworks with dockers.Experience in deploying and maintaining solutions in AWS using Github Actions.Commercial C# and .NET experienceExperience in designing and implementing RESTful APIsExperience with version control systems (preferably Git) and associated CI/CD toolingFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira

Desirable Skills

Multi-tier architecture and design patternsGood understanding of the full software development lifecycleExperience in reinsurance or capital marketsExperience with Azure technologies such as Azure AppsAwareness of security best practices in application development

Personal Skills

Excellent communication skills with all stakeholdersGood organisation, planning and time managementAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent problem-solving abilityA strong desire to learn and explore new technical challenges

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
