Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer – Python & Data SystemsTime Zone: US overlap preferred (minimum 5 hours)Type: Full-time
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing backend infrastructure, modernizing legacy systems, and optimizing data workflows. You will work on designing and maintaining robust, scalable systems with a strong focus on Python, SQL, and data processing.
Key Responsibilities:Refactor and improve existing legacy applicationsDevelop efficient backend solutions using Python 3.xWrite and optimize complex queries using ANSI SQLWork with Pandas, SQLAlchemy, and PyODBC for database and data manipulationPerform data validation, integration, and write automated test scriptsCollaborate using Git, follow Agile workflows, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
Required Skills:Strong backend development and database interaction skillsFamiliarity with cloud environments and DevOps practices is a plusStrong communication, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail
