Summary: Game changer will modify the front-end user interface of our existing malware sandbox (which is for internal use only) to be customer-facing and cleaner. We are porting code from Python 2 to Python 3 and implementing a new microservices architecture with database changes, and an API to lead front-end UI. We need developers to help with the Python version porting, developing the API for the web front end to use, and some work with relational databases and Mongo.
Responsibilities:
Python development experience for high-volume backend systemsExperience porting Python 2 to Python 3 code Experience with relational databases Experience with Document-Oriented databases, MongoDB. Experience debugging in production server environmentsExperience developing for containers (not Kubernetes)Experience writing automated tests and working with a DevTest environment, for example, PytestExperience with SQLAlchemy for Python (optional)Experience with DevOps, testing and QA, familiarity with change management and testing/upgrading for python librariesDesign high-quality Python applications. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, testing and maintenance. Collaborate with teams to analyze requirements and define technical solutions. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing Python applications. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to inspire creativity. Reporting to Senior Manager, Global IT Service Delivery
Qualifications:
5-10+ years of experience with PythonMust have: Python 2 or Python 3 code experienceGood to have: Docker, IOT, ETL toolsDevelop python-based applications. Experience in core java / j2ee fundamentals. Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners with technical team members and teams3+ years with Oracle database skillsKnowledge on Agile development methodology
