The Role
Veeva Link seeks a mid to senior Python engineer who will participate in all aspects of architecting and developing new and innovative web applications. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and new product development in an established company that is rapidly growing. This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to expand their well-established career, who is excited about search, solving complex problems, ownership, and who enjoys working with technologies like Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, AWS, and Frameworks like Django.
You must be based in Germany and be eligible for employment within the EU, as Veeva does not sponsor employment visa processes for this role.
What You’ll Do
Build scalable web applications utilizing open-source tools and technologiesBuild and use REST and GraphQL APIsBe able to work independently while communicating progress to other members of the teamParticipate in the technical planning, user story/technical acceptance creation, and implementationIdentify and solve complex problemsPlan technical architectures that minimize or eliminates performance problems, complexity, or solution fragility
Requirements
3+ years of professional experience building scalable and reliable web applications is requiredExperience with Python and Django or another comparable Python web frameworkBasic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSSAble to create database schemas that represent and support business processesUnit test and debugging skills3+ years work experience with RDBS such as MySQL or PostgreSQL Independent, self-managed and motivatedGood command of the English language
Nice to Have
Experience with any of the following would be a plus: GraphQL, React, Elasticsearch, Redis, Celery, AWS (or any other Cloud provider)Have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
