Job Overview

Job Summary

As a QA Engineer you will help contribute to the overall company strategy by validating that the application meets design specifications and requirements. This includes iOS applications, Android applications, Web applications and any other digital to human interfaces. The products should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with the supported devices, browsers, user interfaces.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of QA tasks for a number of projectsCreate clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and other QA documentationCreate and maintain non-functional tests (ADA, security, performance, etc.)Work collaboratively within high-performance teams (e.g. product managers, developers, UI, and UX designers) to champion product quality for our clientsPerform QA technical testing tasks for Cross Browser and Devices UI Testing, API and database testingEscalate critical issues, blockers, and risks in a timely manner to minimize the impact on project timelinesAssess the quality health of a project to determine whether or not the project is ready for releaseDocument and track defects according to the company’s standards in a bug tracking systemDebug and troubleshoot defects to help our developers fix issues efficientlyParticipate in reviews of requirements, UX/UI designs, and other deliverables for testabilityMentor and provide guidance to junior team members on Quality Assurance best practices, methodologies, and processes.Requirement Gathering: Ability to understand and analyze requirements from business and technical perspectives.Traceability Matrix: Create and maintain traceability matrices to ensure all requirements are covered by test cases.Proficiency in techniques like equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision table testing, and state transition testing.Proficiency in Black Box Testing,White Box Testing & Exploratory Testing

Qualifications

4-6 years of cross-browser, UI/UX, and iOS/Android/desktop manual testingProficiency with functional testing and experience with non-functional testingProficient in API and Database TestingYou have a deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools and processesYou have a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles.You have experience providing mentorship to other team members on QA best practices and methodologiesYou’re self-driven and take ownership of tasks from beginning to completionYou are able to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.You are detail-oriented, incredibly meticulous, and you enjoy the fine attention to detail required to spot, prevent, and troubleshoot any issues before our clients find themExperience with project and bug tracking tools as Jira, MantisExpertise creating and maintaining QA documentation like test plans, test cases and status reports and collecting metricsExperience being receptive to learn and work with new technologiesAbility to be assertive in communication

Nice to have

You having experience creating and maintaining test automation scripts (preferably with Javascript, Selenium Webdriver, JMeter, Cypress, Cucumber, and/or Appium)Good to have Java Language knowledge.Exposure to Security Testing
