QA Engineer – REMOTE

Job Overview

OVERVIEW:Work with a fast-growing team at TransPerfect to guide one of TransPerfect’s flagship products. The QA Engineer, will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the software products through rigorous testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of SDLC, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be proficient in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
DESCRIPTION:QA and test web-applications following Agile methodology guidelinesInnovate and automate test cases with CI/CD and cross browser enablementAutomate API (web services and RESTful), and backend database testing using existing and new toolsDesign, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks. Implement and maintain automation frameworkCoordinate with the QA lead on testing activities for given releaseDevelop test plans, test cases on multiple projects of varying sizeConduct thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure product functionality meets specificationsMaintain QA documentationDocument and track defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolutionProactively identify opportunities to enhance testing processes and improve efficiency
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor degree requiredProven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in a software development environment Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processesExperience in building and executing manual test cases and converting them into automated scripts Track record of QA Testing experience- demonstrated ability to write test plans with traceability to each acceptance criteria listed in requirementsExperience in developing overall test strategy and plans for complex system implementations including a variety of technologies and design patternsProven experience in Selenium, Playwright automation frameworksProfessional experience in JAVA / C# programing languagesExperience testing RESTful web services and API’sExperience with GUI driven testing as well as programmatic testingExperience with Continuous Integration systems like Azure DevOps, TeamCity, etcExperience with bug tracking systems such as JIRA, Azure DevOps etcExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving skills
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in a technical field – computer science or related field preferred or equivalent work experienceDevelopment background is a plus (.NET, JAVA etc.)Performance and Load testing experienceComfortable working across time zonesBusiness process understanding
