Job Overview

Responsibilities:Work within agile teams to develop test plans and facilitate manual and automated testing.Document all defects and bugs found clearly and conciselyDevelop and run automated testsReview requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.Be able to assume responsibility for effectively meeting objectives, motivate self to get the job done, perform job duties in an organized, accurate and productive fashion, seek out and is open to knowledge, ideas, and feedback to improve effectiveness, and hold self-accountable for following policies, guidelines, and proceduresStrong understanding of the Software Development LifecycleExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalMust be able to work independently and as a team player, with the ability to work cross-functionallyMust be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguityMust be able to stay focused and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment
Experience/Requirements: 3+ years of software QA experience, preferably with some exposure to enterprise SaaS products.Experience performing a board range of testing activities, including back end, front end, white and black box testing, exploratory, end to end, and regression testing API testing experience using Postman or similar toolsExperience coding in Java or similar languageAn understanding of object-oriented conceptsExperience using Gherkin/Cucumber as a test writing language.Experience writing and/or executing automated tests with Java and SeleniumAn understanding of command line Putty/Bash experience a plus.Good understanding of version control (preferably Git)Basic SQL and database knowledgeExperience in debugging and verification of customer reported bugs.Strong experience writing test plans and test casesAbility to translate technical requirements into test casesAbility think critically and identify dependencies/risks during sprint planning/groomingAbility to collaborate with other software engineers, QA engineers, product owners, and UX designers for continuous improvement of product qualityExperience with bug tracking / workflow management tools (preferably JIRA)Experience with Agile Development Process and agile “whole team approach” testingVery detail oriented

Education: BS in Computer Science, or combination of work experience and similar degree Significant and varied professional experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks
