Senior Research Engineer of Compute Architecture | Fully Remote
One of the largest tech companies in the world is looking for an experienced Researcher with skills in RUST to join the company in a fully remote position.
The Opportunity:Drive innovation at the forefront of XPU technology. As a Senior Research Engineer, you’ll provide technical leadership in areas spanning System Architecture, Programming Languages (RUST) & Compilers, and Software Engineering, directly influencing the next generation of mobile and compute systems.
Your Mission:Spearhead the design and development of cutting-edge Proof-of-Concepts for memory-safe and high-performance features on next-generation XPU accelerators, addressing real-world challenges in mobile and compute environments.Provide strategic direction and expert guidance to enhance the company’s programming tool offerings, with a focus on Rust, Triton, Dynamo, and similar technologies.
What You’ll Bring:A PhD in XPU (GPU, NPU, TPU) Programming, Operating System/System Architecture, Programming Languages, or Software Engineering.Proven experience in accelerator kernel development.World-class expertise in programming languages, demonstrating a deep understanding of best practices, methodologies, and approaches in XPU. You possess extensive experience in architecting, designing, and building safe and efficient programming languages, with intimate knowledge of:GPU, TPU, and NPU acceleratorsHigh-performance language featuresCompiler and high-performance library implementationsWillingness to travel up to 10% to China.
