The New York Post is seeking a Part-Time Runner (Fridays and Sundays 12p-8p) who can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate must be able to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Deliver fast, accurate information from the field: including but not limited to crime scenes, fires, and press conferencesAbility to juggle multiple news assignmentsLand exclusive storiesExperience with SEO, think digital first

Qualifications

At least 2 years experience at a fast-paced newspaper or other digital media outletThe successful applicant should be curious and self-sufficient, pay attention to detail, and have superlative standards of personal excellenceSavvy in social media newsgatheringCar preferred as well as near-cartographical knowledge of the five boroughsConversational knowledge of a foreign language is helpfulFlexibility in schedule – including weekend and overnights
