The role entails responsibilities related to secure development, vulnerability management, and security incident response. The individual in this role will follow and enhance established security standards, contribute to a vulnerability management program, communicate security risks, participate in incident response, and engage in code and design reviews. Qualifications include pursuing a degree in a technology/engineering field, basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python), and a demonstrated interest in cybersecurity and risk management.
Responsibilities:
Follow and improve company defined secure development and operational standards and processesContribute to the design and implementation of the vulnerability management program that leverages a risk-based approach to help evaluate, prioritize, and secure CMT’s systems and applications.Effectively communicate security vulnerabilities and risks to issue owners and assist in remediation effortsParticipate in the Security Incident Response Team investigation and response activities as requiredFacilitate routine vulnerability management review meetings with stakeholders to drive remediation effortsManage other tasks and projects as requested by the Security, Privacy, and ComplianceComplete any additional tasks as they ariseSolve security problems and ensure those problems are incorporated into business solutions with other team membersParticipate in code and design reviewsComplete any additional tasks as they arise
Qualifications:
Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology or engineering fieldBasic knowledge of AWS cloud and programming languages like pythonInterest in cyber security / risk management
