The Role

AMD is looking for a senior software engineer to join our growing team. You will be a member of ROCm HIP runtime team working on innovative hardware and software technologies.
You will help deliver exceptional performance and related feature enhancements via maintainable code development, optimizations/tuning, and collaboration.

The Person

The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to work independently, communicate effectively and
collaborate optimally with different teams across AMD.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop new software featuresWork with AMD’s architecture specialists to improve future productsParticipating in new
ASIC and hardware bring upsIdentify and help resolve quality issues working closely with other internal engineering teamsResearch alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same workDevelop technical relationships
with peers and partners

Preferred Experience

Strong object-oriented C/C++ programming backgroundAbility to write high quality code with a keen attention to detailExperience with modern concurrent programming
and threading APIsExperience with kernel, driver and system level developmentExperience with software development processes and tools such as Git source code control, profiler, and debuggerEffective communication and problem-solving
skillsExperience with compute languages like HIP, CUDA, OpenCL is a plus

Academic Credentials

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
