JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
We are searching for a Software Research and Development Engineer to join our Intelligent Sensor Technology Department at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn
The Intelligent Sensor Technology Department develops and evaluates: data models enabling efficient modeling and risk analysis; mathematical models and simulations to optimize processes and policies;
ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.
You will:
Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical engineering products, systems, and subsystemsInvestigate and evaluate practical applicability of scientific theories
Minimal requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Science discipline.
Required skills/experience areas include:
Must be skilled in C/C++ and python languagesMust be able to apply concepts from Mathematics and StatisticsMust have previous success with collaborations in a diverse, multi-disciplinary, team-oriented cultureMust have
Preferred skills/experience areas include:
Experience in developing simulationsExperience in mathematical modelingExperience working with embedded systemsExperience programming sensor systemsCurrent eligibility for access to classified information at the Secret

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$76,700.00 – $115,100.00
