What You will Do:• Craft complex SQL queries and stored procedures for analytics and reporting• Build robust Python scripts for automation, file handling, data cleanup, and transformation using Pandas/NumPy• Design and manage scalable relational database schemas• Apply basic data modeling (star/snowflake) to support reporting needs• Optimize performance of queries and scripts on large datasets• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions• Document processes for transparency and reuse
Must-Have Skills:• Advanced SQL: joins, window functions, stored procedures, tuning• Python scripting: file I/O, string manipulation, exceptions, data wrangling• Solid grasp of relational DB design and performance optimization• Basic understanding of data modeling concepts• Sharp problem-solving and analytical thinking• Strong communicator with ability to engage stakeholders
Good to have:• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS, Snowflake)• Exposure to Big data platforms• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines• Knowledge of ETL/ELT workflows
