Job Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our collaborative engineering team, focusing on building and maintaining a reliable cloud platform. You’ll work alongside experienced
engineers in an environment that values open technical discussion and iterative development.
This is a primarily remote role for a Boston-based company. You should expect to meet in Boston around once per month for in-person
collaboration and social time.
About the RoleYou will work as part of the team building and delivering value across all dimensions of our product: user-facing applications, APIs and services, integrations to third party
applications, analytics and data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
In this role you will help:Design, build, monitor, and maintain Python servicesDeploy and manage infrastructure using Terraform on AzureImprove our
observability through logging, metrics, and alertingMonitor system health and respond to production issuesParticipate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisionsCollaborate with team members
through pair programming, code review, and knowledge sharingThis role reports to the VP of Engineering.
What We DoLambent develops a software-only cloud-based spatial intelligence and occupancy data analytics platform
for smarter space planning. Our product, Lambent Spaces, utilizes AI and Machine Learning to provide occupancy-based metrics using anonymous data from existing wireless technology in the built environment. We help space
planners achieve space utilization targets, align schedules or staffing with actual demand, and reduce capital and operational expenses.
Our engineering team builds the platform that processes this data at scale, turning wireless signals into actionable insights for our customers.
What We’re Looking ForThis role typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience.
Required Skills:Strong Python development experience, particularly with async programmingTrack record of building, deploying,
and maintaining production services with comprehensive monitoringExperience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelinesStrong communication skills and enthusiasm for collaborative problem solvingBackground in observability
practices including logging, metrics, and alerting
It will be helpful if you have:Experience with pair and collaborative programmingExperience with Microsoft AzureExperience with Data Lakehouses like Databricks or SnowflakeExperience
building and working with time series dataBackground in log aggregation systems (Azure Log Analytics, ELK, Splunk, etc.)Experience with metrics visualization tools like GrafanaExperience with NextJS / ReactExperience with
FastAPIExperience with TerraformExperience with Gitlab CI
