Join Axpo, Switzerland’s largest producer of renewable energy and an international leader in energy trading and the marketing of solar and wind power. With around 6,000 employees in 30 countries across Europe and the US, we use state-of-the-art technology to develop sustainable, innovative energy solutions. We are looking for an experienced C# developer to become the backbone of one of our main applications related to the forecasting and balancing of our portfolios for the day-ahead scheduling process. This role offers a great opportunity to expand your knowledge in the energy market and play a pivotal role in an important business unit of our organization.
What you will do:
Build a solid understanding of our forecasting/balancing application for both technical and business aspects.Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end components of web applications (Angular, .Net Framework).Assist in migrating from the .NET Framework to the latest .NET versions and to the cloud (Azure).Work closely with business stakeholders to support and fulfill their requirements.Contribute to the automation of development processes and the implementation of DevOps practices.
What you bring & who you are:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering or a related field.Proven experience in software development (8+ years), especially with C#.Proficiency in both front-end (Angular) and back-end development.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Willingness to learn and grow.Strong communication skills in English.Nice to have:Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud services (Azure preferred).Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.Previous experience in the energy industry or financial markets is a plus.
