About The Role

In this role you will be reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager to deliver avionic systems engineering outputs as part of a wider systems engineering team.

Providing technical leadership over all aspects of design, development and integration engineering associated with control, navigation, communication, aircraft management and C2 systems.

Role Responsibilities

Support the definition and delivery of key company programmes to ensure technical compliance with specification and to maintain excellent engineering practice.Lead engineering involvement
to projects, interfacing with internal and external stakeholdersWork with the Systems Engineering Manager to create and improve internal processes and proceduresSupervise, guide and support other engineers across involved
projectsSupport the implementation of airworthiness, safety and certification requirements applicable to the design and at the appropriate level for the project and/or product.Capture, derive and manage requirements to the
appropriate levelDesign and development of avionics systems for unmanned air systems, including, navigation, communication, payloads, aircraft management and command & control (C2) systems.Integration of systems, including
other air vehicle systems such as power plant, fuel systems and payloads.Generate resource and budget estimates for engineering activities, working with project management and business development teamsPerform other related
duties as required

About You

Skills:

Essential

Demonstrable knowledge of systems engineering, preferably in aerospaceKnowledge of applied system engineering principlesCompetent in practical
integration tasks either using software or hardware-based rigsExcellent communication and presentation skillsReport writing and information dissemination/presentationProficiency in spoken and written EnglishAble to maintain
a high level of confidentialityAbility to hold a Security Clearance

Desirable

Design or systems engineering experience in UAS and associated systemsSystems engineering experience through the whole
lifecycle in an aerospace or related environment.Familiarity with common engineering tools, for example DOORS, Solidworks, MATLAB or equivalentsKnowledge of related aerospace and equipment qualification standards, including
Mil-Stds, RTCA or equivalentKnowledge of safety critical systems
