This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a vital initiative that directly impacts national operational readiness across the entire US Naval Fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, test, and deliver software solutions.Develop clean, efficient, and scalable code in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from concept to deployment.Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing codebase to ensure high performance and maintainability.Write unit tests and ensure quality of code through automated testing.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.Assist with system integration and ensure seamless communication between systems.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: At least 2+ years of professional experience in software development.Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Java, C++, Python or other programming languages] Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker or other technologies, databases, or tools is a plus.Problem-Solving: Ability to approach complex problems with analytical thinking and creative solutions.Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Version Control: Proficiency in Git or other version control systems.Software Development Lifecycle: Familiarity with agile development methodologies and software development best practices.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, etc.) is beneficial.Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Essential Elements (Mental; Physical; Equipment used):
This position is an office position that requires remaining in a stationary position for multiple hours throughout the workday. This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
Special Requirements:
This position operates from a Red River office or Remote office, with travel to customer and partner sites as required.
