IT is at the heart of de Digital Transformation and enables GEMS to optimize renewable assets, manage energy for decentralized assets and clients and supports all businesses and support units at GEMS Iberia.The team is also responsible for managing relationships with technological partners and coordination with other IT areas within GEMS & ENGIE.
Role Overview:Conduct analysis and develop secure, maintainable solutions using appropriate tools.Deploy cloud solutions and maintain local systems.Work closely with business and IT teams to integrate and optimize capabilities.Build and maintain systems and interfaces, adhering to best Agile practices.Ensure IT solutions meet business needs and support data governance.Stay updated with technologies like AI and machine learning.Manage data-related projects to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.Implement DevOps for efficient, continuous delivery.Optimize systems for better performance and scalability.Promote data literacy and data-driven decision-making. Understand GEMS’ role in energy markets and risk management.
Must have:Python ProficiencyExperience with agile methodologiesDatabase Management ExperienceInformation Security KnowledgeSystem Integration ExperienceDevOps Tools Familiarity: Examples include Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.Effective Communication
Education and professional background:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field to provide a strong technical foundation.Certifications in relevant technologies and methodologies such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, database management, and data analytics can be beneficial.At least 2 years.
Languages:Proficiency in SpanishHigh English
Travels:Travel occasionally to headquarters or to other countries in order to share experiences or to assist to special events.
